Cindy Thyfault, President






Westar Trade Resources


Cindy Thyfault has over 25 years business experience in development, management and funding of agricultural value-added manufacturing projects, bioenergy projects, residential and industrial construction, building products, and consumer goods.

She organized Westar Trade Resources in 1994 to develop new businesses, both domestically and internationally, and provide consulting services to companies from start-up through expansion. She has assisted companies with obtaining over $41 million in grants, including a $33 million DOE award to Alico, Inc, of LaBelle Florida for a cellulosic ethanol plant. She also has assisted her clients to obtain millions in financing through the use of USDA loan guarantees.

Westar Trade Resources has broadened resources and research work internationally to other countries and cultures and has arranged and hosted agricultural trade missions for delegates from Mexico, Mongolia, Korea, France and China.

Ms. Thyfault received her bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis on international business and marketing from West Texas A & M University, Canyon, Texas and has completed course work toward an MBA degree.

Ms. Thyfault currently serves as Chairman of the Sustainable Technologies Committee for the Dallas Regional Chamber, and as Treasurer for the North Texas District Export Council, a volunteer organization assisting development of international trade as part of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Other board member positions currently include the American Society for Preservation of Affordable Housing, Jackson, MS; Walking in Freedom Ministries, Lubbock, TX; and Life Purpose Coaching Centers International, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.

Ms. Thyfault is also an accomplished speaker and has given many presentations on value-added agricultural development and bio-energy topics.
